I still cant believe it took five humans to overpower this animal, its very scary! I always took them for slow ambush predators; that when seen, could be easily out maneuvered. Thanks for making the video Sam its much, much appreciated, awesome vid! 5/5

I viper would not "attack" a human being. Only snake vilifying idiots would believe that nonsense. We are large and frightening to them, they only want to be left alone. The dog that attacked it was acting was the aggressor.

You promised two, but only delivered on one?

Hi! There is no known video of the Rotweiller/German Shepherd attacking the viper to protect the 2 year old while the helpless mother called for help. That is why I included a link to the blog article that contains the translation from Brazilian Portuguese to English of the Newspaper report.

Uh so a young boy isn't generally the same size as the prey this animal feeds on?

A viper? A viper typically eats rats, mice, and lizards.

How are these dogs heroic?Any dog would save its owner. Its nothing special. They are not just gonna let the owner die lol.If a dog DIDNT protect its owner then there is something wrong with the dogs head.

im not sure about this. but i heard pooring alcohal in a snakes mouth makes it release its victom to escape the taste

samuelmanaseh @ 1:52 am #

I believe kerosene also does the same thing.

In the first story in the video, shooting the anaconda was still probably the best option-if the snake escaped because of alcohol or kerosene sensitivity, it would still be alive and could have attempted to kill another child later on.

Unfortunately anaconda attacks on children in Brazil are not unheard of, even in the presense of other people in the vicinity.
