How do you stop your cats from using the basement as a litterbox?
I have two cats. They have a litterbox at the top of the basement stairs. One of our cats walks all the way downstairs to go in the basement, walking right by the litterbox. Our basement is not much of a basement. It takes in water sometimes so we don't put anything down there. We tried putting bleach all over the floor, after cleaning up the feces. That did not work. The smell is leaching up into the house. I love the cat and don't want to get rid of it but I need this to stop!

you should get sepperate litter boxes for your two cats because the one that is going in your basement miht not like goingin the same litter box with the other cat or you can take it to the vet to get it checked out
