GERTIE THE GOAT Little Gertie was found injured running along Wanneroo Rd, before being picked up and taken to a local vet. Since then,Gertie has had her injured ear repaired, and she's now fit and healthy. Gertie isn't used to being around people, so her new owners will need be to patient and calm. Ideally, Gertie would go to a hobby farm or somewhere she can be around other animals. Gertie's health has been checked, her vaccinations are up to date and her worming is up to date . GAVIN THE DOG Gavin is an Akita Inu, uncommon outside of Japan, named for Akita Prefecture, where it is thought to have originated. "Inu" means "dog". Gavin was dumped at a rental property by his previous owner, The real estate agent brought him to the RSPCA. He's a big sop of a dog and he craves human company. He wouldn't suit a life left alone outside. Akita Inu are renowned as loyal dogs and are also intelligent. Gavin proves his potential when he's commanded to "sit", "drop" and give "paw". He's a high energy dog, which needs a calm and consistent owner willing to continue dog training. He loves getting lots of exercise and has been socialized as a puppy so he is friendly but needs to go home with an experienced owner. Gavin's breed usually stands anywhere from 60–66 cm and he requires regular grooming, especially during and after winter months when he sheds. He is also very playful and, due to his size, he would need to be watched around small children simply because he could knock them
