My cat is eighteen years old, and he refuses to do his business in his litterbox anymore. I understand that this is probably due to his age, but it is really causing a problem and nothing I do seems to help. Does anyone know of anything I can do that might make him start using his box again?
Thank you for any help.
He has portions of the house where he will urinate and defecate and no matter if there is food nearby or a clean litterbox…how do I get him to stop going other places than the floor?
The litterbox is in my roommates closet, and he sneaks in there and comes out with nasty breath. We try to watch him, but we can’t do it 24/7. I live in an apartment, so I hate shutting him in my small room. A litterbox with a lid won’t keep him away. And the cat is the same size as him, so I can’t leave just enough room for the cat to get in and not him. Any punishments or anything I can do to get him to STOP?! (I will not hit him.)
My boyfriends cat (6yrs old) has always gone to the bathroom outside the litterbox, on the floor. She is one of 2 cats, we have 2 litterboxes, and keep them clean. How can we curb this habit? Thanks!
My cat keeps leaving big liquid poops in the litterbox and sometimes she overshoots. My friend Sherry said that if I give her milk, she won’t go so much, but it seems to make it worse.
